The long anticipated arrival of this sweet little girl by so many was one of the most joyous times to participate in and watch from afar. Little Esme, a gift to her mother and father, has been prayed for many times, dreamt of, and delighted in since her birth. What a joy to spend a couple hours with this little snuggle bug. The joy her momma has in caring for her is contagious and is utterly precious. I am so happy to see my dear friends, as the happy parents of this sweet little one. Congratulations Paul and Lauren. It is an honor to photograph a family as they grow. It never ceases to amaze me how different siblings can be. Chloe was not interested in being apart from mamma at first, but she finally gave in to my ways and slept peacefully the entire shoot. I so love the way a girl is so different from a boy, and having photographed her big brother, I saw first hand those differences. Sweet girl, you are blessed and loved by your momma and daddy.

Over the past 5 years, one of my dearest friends and I have shared the pregnancy journey together 3 times. When she told me she was pregnant a little over 10 months ago, I was thrilled. Although Autumn is the first baby that was born out of our little rhythm, she is no less dear than the others in my heart! Sweet baby girl did not realize that Aunt Tali is the best, and fought off sleep while we were together, but the sweetness of her delicate features were delightful to admire. I had the joy to photograph the newest baby to some friends of ours last week. I know I have said this before, but new little ones are just the sweetest thing to behold. The smell, the softness, the big eyes and tiny everything else. Oh it just melts my heart. This little buddy didn't want to fall asleep for me, but he was a sweet little man to hold and snuggle, although all he wanted was his momma. And rightly so! Oh how I have missed the sweet smell of new baby. There is just amazing about new life, the details of their little fagile bodies, the perfection in their tiny noses and little fingers and toes. It never stops being incredible, to see these little people so fresh and new. For my first newborn shoot since being back in action, Miss Elizabeth was a perfect baby! She loved to be snuggled, and wanted to be wrapped up most of the time (which I certainly didnt mind the snuggling) and was completely calm even with her older twin siblings being wonderfully active 2 year olds! When my children grow up, I can only imagine how much I will miss them when they are away in college, and out living their lives as adults. I can only imagine how much I will want to capture each moment I have with them, savor every conversation, and just enjoy every opportunity to have fun with them. This is what I got to be a part of a few weekends ago. Watching a mom, and her beautiful daughters be together, seeing their personalities interact, and the love that their mom has for them so evidently displayed in her eyes, well, it was just special. I love to take pictures of families, and see the beautiful and different dynamics each one has. This has to have been one of my favorite shoots to date. When Shana asked me to do their engagement photos, I was so excited. But when she told me where she wanted to shoot, I was thrilled. I had just heard about the National Arboretum in the middle of DC, and was curious to explore it, and that was precisely where she wanted to go! This shoot looks like we went all around the world, but it all was just down the road in DC. It was a bit chilly for our early morning shoot, but oh so worth it! It was such a treat to photograph this sweet family on one of our warmer fall days last week. These sweet girls and their parents, allowed me to try to capture a little of just how precious they are to one another. I so enjoyed hearing their mother speak encouragements to smile in French, and to see them listen is just too cute. I have a soft spot for children who can speak French! After a little warming up, a cup of warm milk, and a few snuggles from mom and dad, we were able to get some sweet shots of this wonderful family! Enjoy!

Most people just might be thinking about Thanksgiving already, but I doubt many are thinking about Christmas just yet! I wanted to get the cards I have been working on out there early this year, since our third baby is due to be born at the end of November, giving myself and anyone who might be interested in getting cards through me, enough time to make sure they get exactly what they want!

Oh this sweet little tiny peanut! He came into the world 3 weeks early, and has swept his momma and daddy into a blissful state of love. He was the tiniest little guy I have held yet, and oh how he loved to put his fingers in mouth and wanted his mommy! I love love love love seeing how a new baby changes a family, how their hearts expand and love grows for each other and this new life. Throwing a birthday party for your child is busy enough, without worrying about getting the camera out to take pictures of the day! Taking pictures of these two kids was so much fun! My friend contacted me with a somewhat last minute request, as they these half-brother and sister were going to be together for such a short period of time this summer! We met up at the Gaithersburg Train Tracks and had a perfect time... until I tripped an twisted my ankle! Luckily, that was at the end of the shoot! In Memory of Scott Gregory

Funerals are generally not something one would photograph. Just 11 days ago, our friend and next door neighbor passed away quite suddenly. I had the distinct privilege to design the program for the funeral as well as document Scott's "last ride" on his Harley with his crew. This was probably one of the hardest things I have had to do as a photographer, as tears were streaming down my face as I took these photos. I hope they bless the family and friends who were unable to attend the funeral, as well as remind those who were able to attend of the deep love and gratitude for the life of Scott lived.

Each year I make cookies or some other baked goodies to give out to our neighbors for Christmas. And each year, I try to make a gift tag to put on it. I had done them in Microsoft Publisher and Word before... and they turned out OK. This year, with the help of PS CS3 and a little more creativity, I put together a new tag for these gifts that I loved. I also made one for my neighbor to attach to her gifts (leaving the bottom blank so she could write the different items she gave out - cocoa or cookies). Here they are below. I hope to design some small ones for our gifts for family next year. I printed both of these gift tags off on my printer on watercolor paper from Walmart... a nice, cheap way to make it more personal!

Can I just tell you how fun it was to take Brian and Jecholia's pictures! It was FREEZING, the wind was blowing furiously, and I was running late! So, we had a few elements against us, for this little shoot, but I had a blast getting to know you two, and your Molly.
